Buy it now! please!

I've been working on compiling an inventory to open my shop.  Last night I posted a few items just to get started.  The photos aren't great.. and the whole etsy store/shipping/business in general is a new concept to me, but it's a start! I'm really excited about what I've found so far - and I've been surprised by my relative success at finding great pieces.  It's hard not to keep them all for myself, but maybe that means I'll be less disappointed if nothing sells!

In the shop now:

A great find - a RRL lightweight canvas jacket, great for spring.  I was so excited to find this one, I hope it makes someone really happy, that RRL stuff is hard to come by, especially at a reasonable price.  Men's medium, could also work for women.

"Maine Guide styled by Congress" What an interesting name, after some searching I've discovered they were a local company, based in Boston.  Their trademark was registered in 1942, a true classic.  This heavy wool barn coat is lined with cozy fleece and is undoubtedly super warm.  No size indicated, fits like a men's large to xl.

Penfield is quintessential New England.  Their HQ is located less then 10 miles away from me and they've been producing weather ready apparel since 1975.  This raspberry pink jacket is perfect as a lightweight winter coat to be worn over layers, or as a warm spring coat for chilly March mornings.  Some signs of wear, but still in fantastic shape with many seasons left.

The only thing cozier than flannel is quilted flannel! I am a fervent advocate of practicality, and this great shirt can be worn as a super warm workshirt, or as a lightweight jacket.  Great versatile navy and yellow plaid, lined with quilted navy nylon.  Made by Fieldmaster for Sears, and in great shape for being over 30 years old.  Men's medium, tall fit so it's a little longer than a regular shirt

Another great Fieldmaster quilted flannel.  This one is a little older, possibly from the 60's.  I love the color of this one, the muted blue and tan plaid against the bright blue quilted lining gives it a more modern feel.  Men's small, would also be great for as a women's shirt or jacket!  This is one of those pieces that's hard for me to sell!

PS - Anyone who can help me with ANY advice on this whole internet business thing pleaseee feel free to offer up advice.  Things I know nothing about: blogging, getting followers, sponsors/sponsoring, give aways, blog layouts, etc etc etc

  1. You should do outfits of the day, or thrift store hauls and stuff like that! This stuff is super cute!

    P.S. I'm from b9 :)

    1. Good idea, I had been thinking about outfits of the day. I was hesitant - because that means I have to look nice at least some days, but that of course is both a good and a bad thing. I'll definitely be doing teasers of my hauls before stuff goes up in the store, and I'll be posting 4-7 new items in the next two days!

  2. I know nothing about all of that either. I do have a couple of followers that aren't my family so I will blog about your etsy store! I hope it helps :)
