Life grows on

Sorry I haven't blogged much this week.  My family is going through some stuff that has put me in a slightly depressed mode.  Nothing to be too worried about, no one died or anything but anyways...

This is my first year as a"serious" gardener.  Last year I bought a bunch of seeds on a whim and did no research and knew little to nothing about growing food.  This year however, I am totally immersed in vegetable growing.  I've read a pile of books and every day I am thinking about my next step.  This new project has kept me from being seriously depressed this week, as vegetable gardening is the perfect metaphor for "life goes on" - seeds still have to be planted within the perfect window, they can't wait a week or two for me to feel better or more up to the task.  So taking advantage of the beautiful weather, and my free time while on Spring break has allowed me to get a great start on this growing season.

I came home to this after a weekend at Tre's and I squealed out loud with excitement.

I was so thankful to find out my soil has perfect pH for growing

  1. I hope everything is ok with your family. Also I'm so jealous of your garden. I loved when we had a porch and were able to grow things.
