Disney World pt.5

So, it's taking me a long time to get through this - party because it was a busy busy trip, partly because its summer and I don't feel like blogging.  Anyways, after dinner at Ohana and Wishes from the Polynesian we went back to our room.  Funny story - for those who "know" Disney - we were on the boat from Poly back to Magic Kingdom to get the bus back to Pop, and there was a family on the boat arguing about how to get back to their car.  They had taken the boat from the Polynesian, to Magic Kingdom - in order to take the ferry over to the Transportation and Ticket Center.  I politely said "Excuse me, but if you're trying to get to the TTC you could have/should have just walked from the Polynesian - its about a 3 minute walk.." which of course, only inflamed the family dispute even further.  To add insult to injury, the monorail was down that night, and the line for the ferry was backed up all the way to Magic Kingdom security.  I'm sure that'll be the family that goes home and complains that Disney is too crowded and the lines are too long..

Anyways, we got an early start and arrived at Hollywood Studios for rope drop.  They opened the park a bit early, so before 9 am we had already rode Toy Story Mania, obtained fast passes for later and headed over to Tower of Terror.  After that we did Star Tours, and Muppets 3D, stopped at my fav lil shop in Hollywood Studios - The Writers Stop, for a coffee and a pastry before using our fast passes for Toy Story, and we also got fast passes for Rockin' Rollercoaster.  We ended our morning at Hollywood Studios with lunch at the Sci Fi Dine in Theater...

I like this spot, I think it's great for lunch, especially considering the lacking options for counter service at Hollywood Studios.  FYI with an advanced reservation (ADR for you Dis-ers) you are guaranteed a seat in a car, which is great to know that a) you don't have to request it and b) in a pinch, you can probably walk up and sit at a picnic table behind the cars, for a hot meal and a break from the crowds.  They have a veggie burger, that I did not see at all because it's so dark in there - but it was nicely dressed with cucumber, balsamic vinegar and tomato (? i think?) and automatically comes with no cheese, which I think is great!  I, of course, peer pressured my dad into getting the indulgent grossly american picnic burger - which is an angus cheeseburger topped with a hot dog.  He ate the whole thing.  Lets hope his life insurance is good.
