Snapshots from the weekend

This weekend we stayed moderately local.  Friday night was The Carrier's last show in Revere.  Then on Saturday I got a bunch of new stuff for the store and we found a few new spots that I can't even tell you about because they're just too good.

Saturday evening we trekked out to Hingham where I bought a rocking chair that I found on craigslist.  For those not from Massachusetts, South Shore and North Shore are like two different countries and travelling from on to the other feels like a cross country road trip.  In reality, it's only about an hour's drive but for me it definitely felt weird going from one to the other.

After we got the goods we were starving from our travels so we headed into Cambridge to.. you guesssed it...Veggie Galaxy!  This time, we were joined by our good friend Skott, who is awesome and runs marathons and works with monkeys and takes people on whale watches.

Sunday we were supposed to Todd Farm with Emily and Alan, but it rained and we decided to push it back to April 1st.  Instead we headed out to Cape Anne where we walked a little along the docks and went to one of our favorite secret spots.  I finally found a quilt that I a) like and b) could afford ($20!) and a beautiful cream and yellow striped camp blanket.  Then we found some new spots in Conomo Point and headed home.

I really wanted this, look at his expression! he's so skeptical

My takeaway from the weekend, a striped cardigan $1, powder blue pyrex mixing bowl $5, a gold and coral necklace $1, a linen scarf from Japan $1, a quilt $20 and a wool camp blanket with yellow stripes $15! full success!
