DIsney World pt. 3

So after the fireworks Magic Kingdom was open for a few hours after the fireworks, so we made us of our Splash and Space Mountain fast passes, and also rode Pirates of the Caribbean and The Jungle Cruise.  All in all it was a pretty magical day, punctuated by moments of magic-driven insanity.  Since we had been up since 5 we decided to change our plans and head to Epcot at opening (9 am) in lieu of going to morning extra magic hour at Magic Kingdom...

We got back to our room, happy to find that our bags had arrived and unpacked and showered and quickly made our way into dreamland.  We were up bright and early and got to Epcot at about 8:20, which was great because they opened the park 15 minutes early, so before 9 am we had already rode Soarin', got fastpasses for later and went for a spin on Nemo.  After that we did Spaceship Earth (my favorite), Journey into the Imagination with Figment, and used our Soarin' fastpasses.

After Soarin' it was about lunch-o-clock and we decided to get our fav - Morocco.  They have an incredible vegetarian platter with tabbouleh, hummus, falafel, cous cous, marinated olives and bread.  Normally it comes with a lentil salad, but it is made with mayo - so I always get extra cous cous instead.    In addition to the vegetarian platter, they also offer shwarma plates, "sliders" in pita pockets and a falafel pita sandwich.  Not only do they have the best counter service food in all of Disney World, it's also the most beautiful pavilion.  I could wander around looking at the architectural facades all afternoon.

After lunch we made our way through France and the United Kingdom, and out to the front of the park.  It was getting pretty hot, and busy so we decided to head back to the room to rest a bit before dinner.

Next post:  Cinamon buns in the Magic Kingdom, a 3 hour hunt for iced coffee, dinner at 'Ohana and Wishes from the Polynesian Beach
